MILOSOVICH, Mele, 95, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at his residence.
He was born April 20, 1917, in Steubenville, a son of the late Nick and Dorothy Kovacevic Milosovich.
He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as a pickler in the cold strip.
Mele was a faithful member of Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church and honored as the Church Kum. He was a member of F.O.E. Lodge 4869, Toronto, OH; and Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees. He was an Army veteran of WWII and a life member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.
Preceding Mele in death were his wife, J. Kathleen "Kay" Wayt Milosovich; stepfather, Dragich Milosovich; four brothers including, Theodore Milosovich; and four sisters, including Mary Kalamarie, Kathryn Brothers and Ann Murphy.
Mele is survived by his siblings, Milan Milosovich of Cleveland and Georgia Milosovich of Steubenville; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, on Thursday 3-6 p.m. On Friday, friends may call at Holy Resurrection Serbian Church from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. with Very Rev. Rade Merick officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery where Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad will perform military honors.
