STEWART, Lori Jean, of Chico, CA., died Saturday, October 6, 2012 in her home after a short fight against cancer.

Born in Steubenville, OH, February 21, 1960, to Thomas and Jacqueline (Day) Stewart,

Lori graduated from Wintersville HS in 1978 then went on to be the first in her family to obtain a bachelors degree, earning it in Interior Design from West Virginia University in 1982. She went on to work as a Set Designer at Fashion Optical Display in Paradise from 1991-1996. She also worked as a CAD designer at Russel, Galway, and Associates in Chico, as a rice farmer in Colusa and most recently as a bartender at DownLo Billiards Sports Bar and Grill in Chico.

In addition to playing basketball in high school and rugby in college Lori was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a big supporter of the Chico Rugby Club and the California Bald Eagles.

Starting in 1999 she traveled extensively with the Bald Eagles including trips Great Britain, Australia, France, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, South Africa, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand. In addition to traveling, Lori was an amazing cook, loved gardening, skiing, her newest hobby billiards and showing visitors the town she was so proud of.

Lori is survived by her mother, Jacqueline Day, of Pompano Beach, FL, her sister and brother-in-law, Marcy and Robert Allen Jr., of River Forest, Il, her sister, Susan Stewart, of Steubenville, OH, her nephews, Robert Allen III and Timothy Allen of River Forest, Il, her niece and nephew-in-law, Shaney and Scott Schlachter, of San Jose, CA, her great- nephews and niece, Riley, Liam, and Aleah Schlachter of San Jose, Ca, and an amazing family of friends in Chico, CA.

"Lori Stewart Party" will be at DownLo Sports Bar & Grill at 319 Main St, Chico, Ca on Saturday, November 3rd at 12pm. Also, a Memorial Tribute will be held at Staffileno's On The River at 801 Main St, Wellsurg, WV on Saturday, October 27th at 3 p.m.

Any donations can be made to a charity of choice in her name or use that money to make it to one of her parties.
