WHEELING - From sampling tuna and shrimp to practicing their yo-yo skills, members of the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce enjoyed their time at the organization's Thursday BizFest celebration.
"This is such a great way for our members to network with each other, as well as show off their products," said Lisa Mullin, vice president of operations for the chamber.
"Everyone is having such a great time," she added of the gathering at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.
Main Street Bank, one of the event's main sponsors, also gave away a $150 "money tree" during the event.
"This is always a great event," said Barry Crow, business development specialist for the Wheeling-based bank.
Mullin said the chamber now has roughly 750 members, representing businesses in Wheeling, Ohio County, Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
"It is always great to see such a nice crowd," she added.
Mullin and Chamber President Terry Sterling said plans are well under way for this year's Perkins Restaurant & Bakery Fantasy in Lights Parade.
The Christmas parade is set for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 16 in downtown Wheeling.
