FERRY, Paul Dean (Diz), of East Liverpool, OH, made the journey from this life to another on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012.
Diz, as his friends called him, and "Pappy" to his family was a follower of Christ and is finally healed and whole, walking on streets of gold.
Paul was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Irondale, OH, the son of the late Albert and Leona (Johnson) Ferry and the brother of Jim, Sam, Glenn, Judy and Deloris Jane Ferry.
Paul graduated from Irondale High School in 1952, and married the love of his life, Eleanor Jackman Ferry, May 18, 1956. Together they had two children, a daughter, Rebecca L. (Becky Ferry) Ingole, and a son, Paul G. (Greg) Ferry, both of East Liverpool. Paul also thought of his son-in-law, Michael S. Ingole, his daughter-in-law, Terri A. (Beadnell) Ferry, and the late Michelle Flesch as his "kids".
Paul was the consummate family man and leaves behind four grandchildren, Jona (Ferry) Heise, Emily (Ingole) Wright, Paula (Ferry) Turocy and Meagan Flesch and four great-grandchildren, Olivia Heise, Gabe Heise, Isabella Turocy and Jude Heise.
Always working hard to support his family through the years, he was employed at H.K. Porter Company, Swank Refectories and Anthony Mining. In his younger years, Paul was a volunteer firefighter for the Village of Irondale, where he lived most of his life. He also officiated Indian League track and field events for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, cooking, gardening, wood working and Southern Gospel music. Paul was known for his love of life and his wonderful sense of humor.
