QUATTROCCHI, Daniel Columbus, 94, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Acuity Specialty Hospital in Steubenville, OH, surrounded by his loving children.
He was born on October 12, 1917 in Bucks Bounty, PA, a son of the late Frank and Jennie (Testa) Quattrocchi.
He was a veteran of the Army having served in World War II. Dan is retired from Fort Steuben Metal Company where he worked as a foreman. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Follansbee, WV.
He is also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Edith (Puzzuole) Quattrocchi, two brothers, Art Quattrocchi and wife, Marie and Gino Quattrocchi and wife, Dolores, three sisters, infant Christina Quattrocchi, Rose Michetti and Angelina Cagot and husband, Chuck, and a sister-in-law, Pauline Quattrocchi.
Surviving are three children, Christine (John) Stucin, Marianne (David) Heaton both of Follansbee, WV and Frank (Francine) Quattrocchi of Cocoa Beach, FL; one brother, Robert Quattrocchi of Follansbee, WV; two sisters, Margaret (Matthew) Kovarik of Follansbee, WV and Ann Elizabeth (Albert) Stasiulewicz of Steubenville, OH; one brother-in-law, Alfonso Michetti of Wellsburg, WV; 10 grand children, Daniel (Amy) Quattrocchi, Jonnah (James) Buchanan, Joseph Quattrocchi, Jacob Quattrocchi, Adrienne Stucin, Kristin (Lee) Weppler, Meredith Stucin, Jenna Heaton, Zachary Heaton, and Ryan Heaton; four great-grandchildren, Roman, Zachary, and Ava Quattrocchi, and Kaylee Weppler.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10th from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 11th at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Follansbee, WV with the Rev. Fr. Pete Giannamore as celebrant. Vigil services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV. Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
