STEUBENVILLE -- City Council members introduced several pieces of legislation Tuesday night including a resolution by Third Ward Councilman Greg Metcalf creating a beautification committee.
Metcalf also proposed a resolution recognizing Paul Rue for his recent induction into the Franciscan University of Steubenville Hall of Fame.
A similar resolution recognizing the late Robert D'Anniballe Sr for his induction into the university hall of fame was proposed by Second Ward Councilman Rick Perkins.
Sixth Ward Councilman David Lalich introduced several ordinances to transfer money into the 2012 Summer food program.
Lalich also proposed an ordinance authorizing a $8,250 payment to Joe Corabi for negotiating an oil and gas lease for the city.
And Lalich introduced a resolution proclaiming October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
He also proposed an ordinance authorizing an auction of motor vehicles no longer needed by the city.
And Fifth Ward Councilman Willie Paul introduced a resolution declaring October as Fire Prevention month.
