MCC holding youth sign-ups
WEIRTON - Registration is under way at the Millsop Community Center for flag football, basketball and soccer.
The flag football league is open to those in pre-school through sixth-grade and two divisions will be held (grades PK-2, 3-6). Practice and games are scheduled on Saturday mornings and afternoons in October through mid-November.
The basketball league is open to all middle school boys and girls. Teams will play an eight-game season on Saturday mornings beginning in Octover.
Registration for both leagues will be held through Sept. 29. The cost is $40 per child.
The soccer league is open to those in pre-school through the eighth-grade with will be in three age groups (grades PK-1, 2-4, 5-8).
Practice will begin in October with games being played on Tuesday's and Saturday's from November through mid-December.
Registration deadline is Oct. 8. The cost is $45 per child.
Discounts are available for multiple family entries and for those who serve as a head coach in any of the the leagues.

Big Red selling tickets
STEUBENVILLE - Tickets for Friday's Steubenville Big Red football game at Massillon are on sale at the high school ticket office from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon Friday. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for students.
