RAWSON, Mary Ellen, 70, of South Carolina, formerly of the area, passed away Aug. 30, 2012.
Born May 12, 1942, in Chester, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lewis and Cora Allison.
Mary was a graduate of Chester High School; she formerly worked for C.M. C. Pineville Hospital and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Allison and Alvin Allison.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald Rawson and (Beverly McAbee), Brian W. (Sheila) Rawson and Stephen (Marcia) Rawson all of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Jessica, Dustin, Nicholas, Kama, Summer and Virginia; one great-grandchild, Madison; two sisters, Georgia Milhimes and Mae Morgan both of South Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 3, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in New Cumberland, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
