Grave damage is disgusting

To the editor:

Once again, some despicable person decided to desecrate the graves of my parents and sister. This person evidently has no respect for either the living, nor for the deceased. Someone who not only tore up pictures, but also flowers, and the proceeded to cut them all up and throw them all over the graves.

To top it all off, they must have had a party afterwards because they left behind cigarettes and beer bottles all over the graves, as well as putting them on top of the markers, just to be defiant, I suppose. Trust me when I say I will find out who you are and, more important, will see that you are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I never thought I would ever see vandals take over Union Cemetery, but evidently they are doing just that now. What is this society coming to nowadays?

How would you feel if someone destroyed the graves of your family? Someone, I imagine, of your caliber, doesn't even have a conscience, let alone the ability to even read this letter. The cemetery used to be a nice place to go, but now even that has been touched by evil.

I have been unable to tend to these graves, so I have my niece and her fiance do it for me, and we will keep on replacing everything you destroy over and over again until the day you are caught, because this is a battle you will not win.

You are a coward. You can run but you can't hide. It's only a matter of time before you have to pay your dues. I sure hope I'm around to see it - someday, you will be judged for your actions, not by me, but by some higher authority.
