LEAS, Robert N., 85, of Bloomingdale, OH., died Monday morning, Aug. 6, 2012, after a short illness.
Bob was born in Annapolis, OH on June 5, 1927, the son of the late Doyle and Ruth Osburn Leas.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Edward Leas, and a sister, Juanita Cline.
Robert graduated from the Amsterdam High School, Class of 1945 after which he entered into the U.S. Navy serving during WWII.
Bob was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel working there for over 30 years as a railroad engineer. He also worked for Howard Bowers in Wintersville and West End Motors for many years.
He was a member of the Unionport Masonic Lodge 333 Valley of the Steubenville Scotish Rite; Steubenville Shriners and the Unionport United Methodist Church.
Bob is survived by three sons, Robert (Chip) Leas of Roswell, GA., Tony Leas of Encino, CA. and John (LeAnn) Leas of Wintersville, OH.; three daughters, Sue (Bob) Larkins of Land-O-Lakes, FL., Cindy (Andy) Pintus of Morgantown, WV and Cathy Marchino of Woodstock, GA.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home, 324 High Street, Hopedale, on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Masonic Services there at 8:45 p.m..
Funeral services will be there on Friday morning Aug. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at the Leas cemetery near Annapolis, OH, the Rev. Deborah Kellar will officiate.
