New Somerset Christian Church

"This Little Light of Mine (May God's Light Shine in Me)" will be the theme of the Vacation Bible School program offered from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 5-12 and Aug. 19-26 at New Somerset Christian Church, 12052 state Route 213, New Somerset.

Activities will include pledges, singing, Bible drama, a mission lesson on Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp, offering, snacks, classroom lessons, crafts and a closing prayer circle.

There will be a balloon launch Aug. 5 with prizes for cards returned.

Heather Diamond is the director; Sharon Rowe is the assistant coordinator; and Dan Diamond is coordinator. Rob Rowe is the minister.

Harmon Creek Community Church

Harmon Creek Community Church, 1080 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, will be transformed into "SonRise National Park" for its Vacation Bible School program that will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

Amsterdam Community Church of God

The Amsterdam Community Church of God will hold its annual Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

There will be a children's program at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 5 with a luncheon held after the morning service.

The VBS program, entitled "Amazing Wonders: Encountering God's Awesome Power," is for children age 3-11.

"Come join us to learn about Jesus Christ through Bible lessons, memory verses, songs, crafts, games and refreshments," a program spokesman said.
