Reunion Aug. 12 for reminiscing about former Bradley community

The former coal-mining community of Bradley, located off county Road 20 outside Smithfield, will hold a reunion of its present residents and those who once lived there during the last of the coal mining era.

The reunion will be held at the Smithfield Historical Society Building from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug.12.

Former residents who have served on the committee are Paul Greene, Ed Waldman, Carol Pruneski, Christine McCain and Linda Kovach.

A light luncheon will be served, but those attending can feel free to bring a covered dish. Those attending are urged to bring copies of pictures that can be compiled in a book and to share memories. No reservations are required.
