We’re missing hope and change

July 22, 2012
The Herald-Star

To the editor:

It is so hard to believe that our president has done nothing to help our economy and nothing to instill in the American people "hope" and "change."

Every time he makes a speech, he talks about having the government provide everything to us - more welfare - more food stamps and more unemployment checks. What about more jobs?

If the president would leave the coal industry alone and stop all the EPA regulations, our valley would be thriving.

Mr. President, we know how to create jobs. Lower the taxes on corporations and stop all the thousands of pages of regulations and the American people can show you hope and change.

We do not want the government controlling everything we can do or say.

All of us as citizens of the United States are able to vote in November. If the present officials are not doing their job, let's vote them out.
