Conditioning for Weir volleyball

WEIRTON - Conditioning for Weir High volleyball will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. July 30 to Aug. 4 at the high school.

Practice and tryouts will begin on Aug. 6 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., also at the high school.

Players must have completed physicals in order to participate.

Central to hold soccer conditioning

STEUBENVILLE - Summer soccer conditioning for the Steubenville Catholic Central boys soccer team begins Monday and will continue every Monday through Thursday throughout July.

Sessions are from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the practice complex on Lovers Lane, behind the Rose.

Creek to hold football camp

WINTERSVILLE - Indian Creek Junior High School is hosting a football camp from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday through the month of July.

The camp will include concentration on fitness and technique.

Hoops tourney in Mingo

MINGO JUNCTION - A three-on-three basketball tournament is set at Aracoma Park beginning Monday.

Tournament groups are ages 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18, and 19 and above. Sign-ups are at Aracoma Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tournament games are on Mondays and Thursdays.

Two Catfish tourneys remaining

CHESTER - The Chester Newell Sportsmen Club is holding Ohio River catfish tournaments on Saturday and on Aug. 18.

Tournaments will run from 7 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday and are open to everyone.

Entry is $10 per fisherman and you can sign up at Chaney's Sunoco in Chester.

P.V. Classic set in Fairmont

FAIRMONT, W.Va. - The third-Annual P.V. Classic Basketball Tournament will be held Aug. 10-12 at East Fairmont High School.

The tournament is open to boys and girls in grades 5-12. Entry fees are $175 per team if registered before July 27 and $200 after. Every team is guaranteed three games.
