The second session of the summer youth program at Historic Fort Steuben is open for registration.
The program offers activities, crafts, lessons, videos and guest presenters who bring the 18th century frontier experience to life for the fourth- through sixth-graders participating. Students make Native American crafts, learn to chip an arrowhead, use a surveyor's compass, march with Baron von Steuben and dig in the archaeological site.
The program costs $40 and runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 16-20 under the direction of Dave Nicholson. Registration is required by July 11. Call (740) 283-1787 for information.
