Church offers summer day camp

FOLLANSBEE - The Kids With Spirit group will offer a summer day camp for children in kindergarten through fifth grade from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays through Aug. 22 at Follansbee Park.

The free camp will include dinner, games, a Bible story and other fun activities.

It is sponsored by the Follansbee Presbyterian Church.

UFO expert to speak at library

WELLSBURG - Fred Saluga, state director of the West Virginia Mutual UFO Network, will speak about his investigation of unidentified flying objects at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Brooke County Public Library.

Saluga began investigating UFOs in the 1970s while employed as a law enforcement officer and has investigated reports of UFO sightings, abductions and related activities in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and West Virginia.

Zoo-To-You program Saturday

WELLSBURG - The Oglebay Good Zoo Zoo-To-You program will visit the Brooke County Public Library at 11 a.m. Saturday with a variety of interesting animals. Call (304) 737-1551 to register for the free program.

Summer reading program detailed

WELLSBURG - Readers of all ages will explore the night this summer through a variety of activities as the Brooke County Public Library and Follansbee Branch presents "Dream Big - READ!" as its summer reading program.

The free program is open to children in preschool through eighth grade and includes special programs, prizes, story hours and other activities.

Registration is under way.

Story hours at Follansbee branch

FOLLANSBEE - The Follansbee branch of the Brooke County Public Library will be holding story hours for children, ages 25, and their caregivers at noon July 9, 16, 23 and 30.

Children will enjoy a story, craft, games and a snack.

Right to Life to hold yard sale

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Right to Life will hold a large yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14 at the old Convenient Store on state Route 2.

Donations are welcome and may be dropped off there between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 12 or by appointment July 13.
