WEIRTON - Post 10 split its two games Saturday in the Beast of the East Tournament at Bowman Field to finish 4-2 in pool play and will compete at Brooke High School today for third place.
Weirton dropped a 10-4 count to Pottstown and came back to beat the HCYP Raiders, 6-5.
Tre Smith had two singles and a double in the win. Cody Harmon added two singles and two RBIs. Steven Barr collected a single and two RBIs and Josh Russell two singles and an RBI.
Tory Fuscardo was the winning pitcher, going the distance and five strikeouts and three walks.
Smith doubled to start the third and scored on Harmon's single. Weirton scored twice in the fourth on two singles, a sacrifice bunt and two errors. Post 10 added two in the fifth on two singles and two walks.
Pottstown scored four in the third and six in the fourth for the morning win.
Harmon and Russell each had two singles and an RBI. Matt Cessna added two singles and Barr a double.
Weirton (13-7) hosts Moundsville Friday.
