Bears to hold baseball bash
CHESTER - Oak Glen Junior Bears Baseball is hosting its third-annual Baseball Bash from July 12-15 for U8 coach pitch, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony. Cost is $125 for 8U coach pitch and $200 plus three game balls for the other three divisions.
Format is pool play followed by single elimination. Deadline is July 6.

Ferry to host pole vault camp
MARTINS FERRY - The Martins Ferry track and field program will host its inaugural pole vault camp from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9-11. There are three days of instruction from a staff that includes Mount Union pole vault coach Mike Zemrock and Ferry vault coach Paul Matuska.
The cost is $150 for the athlete and $20 if a coach wishes to attend.
Each camper should bring his or her own poles, water bottle and is encouraged to wear a good pair of training shoes.
Each camper will receive a t-shirt.

Volleyball officials course to be held
MARTINS FERRY - The West Virginia-Ohio Volleyball Officials Association is sponsoring a 28-hour course in the fundamentals of volleyball officiating.
Candidates successfully completing the course will be eligible to officiate the upcoming school year.
The course begins from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 24 at the Martins Ferry Recreation Center.

JCCS to hold car wash
WINTERSVILLE - The Jefferson County Christian School volleyball team will hold a car wash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 14 at Arby's. Proceeds will go to purchase equipment.
