LUCAS, Barbara Ann Blankensop, 76, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away June 14, 2012, at Trinity East Medical Center, Steubenville, OH. She was born January 30, 1936, in Wellsburg, WV to the late Pete Blankensop and Goldie Heddinton Blankensop Davis.
She was retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in the Clerical Dept. and she also was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV, 25 year Weirton Steel Club, Instrumental for starting Clerical Union at Weirton Steel, Financial manager for Jack Yost House of Representative campaign, Wellsburg Kiwanis, Wellsburg City Council and she helped reorganize Brooke Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her two brothers, Pete and Clarence "Coolie" Blankensop, two sisters, Margaret Green who passed in 1980, Elrita Lazear who passed in 1999, Patty and Edgar Doty and her great niece Lori Ann Doty.

She is survived by her husband a loving couple of 53 years, Ralph "Dude" Lucas, many beloved nieces, nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV. Liturgy of the Word will be Celebrated Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father James DeViese as Celebrant. Interment will be at Brooke Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV.
