PARISE, Matilda P. "Tillie," 81, of Steubenville, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Trinity West ER.
She was born Dec. 26, 1930, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Patsy and Carrie DeSantis D'Alanno, Tillie is also preceded in death by her daughter, Paula Chambers.
Tillie was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and worked for the city of Steubenville Treasure's Department as a bookkeeper many years ago.
Surviving are her husband; John "Baldy" Parise whom she married May 7, 1955, one son, J.D. (Connie) Parise of Steubenville, two daughters, Karyn (Joe) D'Ulisse and Carrie Jo (Ted) Kostecki both of Steubenville and one brother, Vincent (Barbara) Dalanno of Steubenville. Eight grandchildren, Adrienne, Zack, John, Anthony, Vince, Noralyn, Cedro, Emily and Johnny and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Aiden.
Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville.
A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Bradley Greer, celebrant. There will be a vigil service 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
