Bears to hold volleyball camp

NEW CUMBERLAND - Oak Glen High School will host a volleyball camp on July 30-31 and Aug. 1 for all girls entering grades 6-12. The camp will be facilitated by Fairmont University head coach Larry Hill and members of his coaching staff.

The cost is $100. Girls entering grades 9-12 will meet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with girls entering grades 6-8 meeting from noon to 3 p.m.

Brooke to hold basketball camp

WELLSBURG - The Brooke High School Basketball Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday for boys and girls in grades 3-8. The cost is $40 per person and $20 for additional family members. The camp will feature offensive and defensive fundamentals.

For information, call (304) 527-2561. Registration and payment can be made on the day of camp, but campers should RSVP with their T-shirt size.

Fast pitch event to be held

CHESTER - The Oak Glen Junior Bears will hold their third-annual Fast Pitch Bash July 6-8 in three age divisions: U10, U12, and U15. Format is pool play followed by single elimination with three games guaranteed. The cost is $200.

Deadline to register is July 1.

Post 33 to hold hitting camp

STEUBENVILLE - Steubenville American Legion Post 33 is conducting its 18th-annual hitting camp at Vaccaro Field for players ages 7-18 in two sessions: June 11-13 and June 18-20. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $80 per camper.

Repella to host hoops camp

STEUBENVILLE - The Liz Repella Girls Basketball Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon July 9-11 at Steubenville High School for those entering grades 6-9.

The cost is $50 per person and will include a T-shirt, daily prizes, giveaways and a pizza party.

Tennis camp at Starvaggi Park

WEIRTON - Morning tennis camp is set Monday through Friday at Starvaggi Park for all boys and girls ages 7 and older.

Sandi Gajtka is coordinating the five-morning camp that will include fundamental instruction with skill games and drills from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Also joining Gajtka as instructors will be former Madonna tennis coach Sue Wesie, along with former local standout Jeff Gajtka.

The cost of the camp is $60 per participant with each camper required to have a tennis racquet and supply two cans of tennis balls.

Registration forms for the camp are available by stopping at the Millsop Community Center or online at mcc-programs.comcast.net.

Oak Glen to hold wrestling camp

NEW CUMBERLAND - Oak Glen High School will hold a youth wrestling camp Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

This camp is for wrestlers in grades K-9, will cost $50 per wrestler, and will include a camp T-shirt.

Walk-ins will be accepted but the school would like to know wrestlers ahead of time to get shirt sizes. For information, contact Oak Glen wrestling head coach Patrick McGillian at (304) 479-2058.
