Traffic to be affected by gas line work
STEUBENVILLE - The traffic light at the intersection of South Fourth Street and South Sixth Street will be controlled by flaggers starting at 7 a.m. Monday to allow Columbia Gas and a contractor to perform pavement saw cutting and pipeline installation.
According to City Engineer Michael Dolak, "the work zone intersection will be controlled by a flagger from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. every day through Thursday."
"Traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers and motorists are advised to drive slowly through the construction zone and be aware of daily traffic pattern changes," said Dolak.
"This work is part of the Columbia Gas main and service line upgrades in the south end of the city," added Dolak.
