WILLIAMS, Harold Cecil "Tennessee," 83, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at Acuity Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born July 16, 1928, in Athens, Tenn. The son of the late John F. and Kathleen Hicks Williams. On Oct. 25, 1957, in Weirton, W.Va., he married Phyllis Jeanette Wright. He was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ, a U.S. Army, Korean War veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart medal, an active member of American Legion Post 10 funeral honor guard, lifetime member of VFW Post 2716, Weirton Steel 25-Year Club. He retired in 1990 with 42 years of service in the tin mill as a mechanic on the continuous anneal line, of Weirton Steel. He also was a faithful employee of Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Inc. for 38 years. His passions were his family, country, and his "grand" dogs.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Jeanette Wright Williams, daughter; Patty Cutone(Richard) of Weirton, W.Va., son; Jim Williams (Jody) of St. Clairsville, Ohio, sisters; Jane Glass(Lynn) of Athens, Tenn., Betty Moore (Don) of Riceville, Tenn., Kathryn Williams of Athens, Tenn., brothers; Bruce Williams of Athens, Tenn., Harry Williams (Macrae) of Athens, Tenn., Roy Williams (Eula) of Decatur, Tenn., grandchildren; Brooke Cutone, Mallory Souffrant, Alexis Corley, Branda, Jillian, and Alexandra Kalis, great-grandson; Larkin Corley.

Visitation will be at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va., on Monday from 3-8 p.m. Additional visitation will be at the Weirton Heights Church of Christ, 3169 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, W.Va., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral at 11 a.m. with Evangelists Steve Smithbauer and Tom Derby officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, W.Va., with military funeral honors provided by American Legion Post 10 firing squad and the West Virginia honor guard.
