KURTZ, Georgianna Joyce (Pospisil), 73, of Dillonvale, Ohio, left this world peacefully at the Ohio Valley Medical Center on May 22, 2012.

"Georgie" was born on April 25, 1939, in the Plechaty Family Farmhouse. She was the only child of proud parents Jerry and Mary (Plechaty) Pospisil.

She was a graduate of Dillonvale High School. While there, she enjoyed playing the bells in the marching band, singing in the Glee Club, and spending time with her friends. Upon graduation, she was employed as a secretary in the pharmacy department at East Ohio Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was the current president of the Spruce Twig associated with EORH and held various offices within the organization. She was also a member of the EORH Auxiliary and enjoyed attending meetings and hospital functions.

She was also president of C.S.A. Fraternal Life District Council No. 9 of Southeastern Ohio and a former member of the C.S.A Board of Directors located in Illinois.

Georgianna was the hostess of "The Czech Show" a live ethnic radio show airing from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday mornings currently on station 1440 WBBD AM, Wheeling, W.Va. The program founded by her mother, Mary Pospisil and the late Rudy Schiller, has been in existence for over 50 years.

Gi-Gi's greatest joys were watching her grandchildren grow and attending their various functions. She enjoyed many beautiful days sitting on her patio swing with her cat, Panther. She took pride in tending to her flowers and her backyard pond.
