WEAVER, Virginia Pearl, 94, of Follansbee, WV, formerly of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in the Brightwood Center, Follansbee.
Born Sept. 1, 1917, in Doddridge County, WV, Virginia was a daughter of the late Harley W. and Jessie M. Jenkins Brown.
Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker and the owner/operator of the former Cove Club in Weirton. She was a member of the Weirton Moose Lodge 688 and a life member of the V.F.W. 2716 Women's Auxiliary.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ardie Weaver; her son, Edward Weaver, brothers Edward and Jimmy R. Brown and sisters, Catherine Lowther, Ruby Lewis and Betty Ash Robinson.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Ivaun of Weirton and Wilda Mae Bryan of Wellsburg, WV, 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grand children and a sister, Thelma Lipscomb of Massillon OH
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday.
The Reverend Dana Snodgrass will preside.
Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
