Buckeye Local senior Leah Figurski will continue her academic and athletic careers at West Liberty University, where she will pursue a degree in biology with a pre-med focus and be a member of the cross country and track teams, where she will be reunited with former coach Eric Laughlin. Figurski carried a 4.0 GPA while running for the Panthers’ cross country and track programs and will serve as one of the class valedictorians. She also serves as her class vice president and is vice president of National Honor Society.
