Before their April meeting, several members of the GFWC/OH Woman's Club of Mingo planted blue and multi colored pinwheels at the southern entrance to the village. The blue pinwheels were given at the District's Legislation Day held in Belpre to bring back to the club for planting in the village and to give to members to place in their yards.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, with the pinwheel a symbol of raising awareness acoss the country in preventing child abuse and neglect.
Placing pinwheels were Bernie Carpico, and back, Joanne Gorney, club President Stephanie Rouse and Diana Taylor.
