KIMBERLAND, Charles L., 81, of Wellsburg, W.Va., passed away April 19, 2012, at Trinity West Hospital, Steubenville, Ohio.
Charles was born June 2, 1930, in Wellsburg, W.Va. He was the son of the late Arthur J. Kimberland and Hilda (Porter) Kimberland Clark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue (Dearth) Kimberland; his brother, Arthur A. Kimberland; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Bryan.
He was a retiree of Weirton Steel, working as a carpenter in the Tin Mill Carpenter Shop. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and baseball.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda L. (Mike) Burke, Harlingen, Texas, and Susan K. (Alan) Sampson, Georgetown, Ky.; four grandchildren, Carrie Chilenski (Ray Reyes) Harlingen, Texas, Patrick (Jennifer) Chilenski, Cincinnati, Ohio, Erika Sampson (Joe) Bates, Follansbee, W.Va., Joseph (Stephanie) Sampson, Carmel, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Abrigo, Marley and Harper Chilenski, Mason, Peyton, and Camden Bates, and Quinn Sampson; a brother, Donald D. Kimberland, Steubenville, Ohio; a sister, Victoria Martin, Wintersville, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received on Monday, April 23, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Chambers Funeral Home, 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, W.Va., with Reverend Kenneth W. Dight officiating.
Interment will follow in Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, W.Va.
