KELLER, Arden R., 75, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born Dec. 31, 1936, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a son of the late Homer S. and Sara J. (McManus) Keller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (D'Alesio) Keller and a sister, Patricia Cutri.
Arden retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp, where he was a motor inspector and crane operator. He served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Arden was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Mingo Junction, the Mingo American Legion Post 351 and a former member of the Mingo Knights of Columbus Council 4361. He was in the Boy Scouts of America in his younger years and later became a Boy Scout leader. Arden enjoyed spending time woodworking.
Surviving are a son, Bill (Karen) Keller of Hagerstown, Md.; two daughters, Janet Fuson of Chicago, Ill., and Beth (Scott) McIlhaney of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Homer (Marge) Keller of Steubenville, Ohio; a sister, V. Kay (Keller) Wilson of Claremont, Fla.; six grandchildren, Nick and Parker Fuson, Steven and Katelyn McIlhaney and Matthew and Jackie Keller; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Wednesday from 6-8 and also on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. On Friday, Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Fr. James M. Dunfee, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
There will be a Vigil Service on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
