Mystery dinner theater set

WINTERSVILLE - The GFWC Woman's Club of Mingo Junction is sponsoring "Who Killed the Top Chef" mystery dinner theater on April 21 at Zalenski's Family Eatery & Pub.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with seating at 6:30 p.m.

"Celebrity chefs" compete for the title of "top chef" with contestants including Emeril LaGrozzie (played by Michael Moran); Anthony Bordeaqux (played by Ryan Sears); Paula Deenie (played by Renee Zelinski) and Chef O-Boy-R-Dee (played by Bert Furioli.)

The host is Gordon Ramseed, portrayed by Butch Maxwell.

The performances take place in the dining area where audience members are encouraged to gather clues, talk to the characters and question the survivors after the murder has occurred. Some audience members also will have small parts during the show.

Admission is a $30 donation per person, which includes a three-course meal and the show. Tables of six can be reserved. Tickets will not be sold at the door. For information, call (740) 598-1689 or (740) 282-3246.

The event will include a Chinese auction.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the club's charitable activities that have included scholarships at Eastern Gateway Community College for women re-entering the work force; sponsorship of the Halloween parade and party for children in the community; and purchasing Christmas gifts for needy children.
