CASTELLANO, Peter J., 88, of Steubenville, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Trinity West.
He was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Steubenville.
He is the son of the late James and Lucia Laurino Castellano; Pete is also preceded in death by his brothers, Noel Welsey, Nick Calabrese, Robert Calabrese, Bill Calabrese and Dick Richards.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Manuska Castellano whom he married Jan. 9, 1949, one son, James "tiny" (Marlene) Castellano of Wintersville, and one daughter, Linda (fiance, Ed Novak) Castellano of Steubenville; one grandson, Erik Castellano and two great-grandsons, Leighton and Gage.
Pete was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; was retired from the former Ohio Coal Co. where he was an executive assistant and served his country in the Army during World War II.
Calling hours are Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, where services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Fr. Timothy Shannon will officiate. Entombment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
