WELLSBURG - A worker at a natural gas drilling site on Genteel Ridge Road was transported by the Brooke County Ambulance Service to Ohio Valley Medical Center following an accident there Wednesday evening.
Stacey Brodak, senior director corporate development for Chesapeake Energy, confirmed an employee of Whipstock Trucking, a subcontractor at the drill site, was injured while crews were moving the drilling rig at about 8 p.m.
The man was transported by ambulance to the hospital, Brodak said.
The worker's name and other details weren't available.
