RAYLAND - The Edison baseball team scored seven times in the top of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and went on to beat host Buckeye Local, 9-1, Wednesday at Mazeroski Field.
Greg Stagani picked up the complete-game win. He struck out nine and walked two.
He led the 13-hit attack with two singles, a double and a pair of RBIs. Nolan Marcus added a single and double and Warren Rawlings two singles as the Wildcats improved to 7-0.
Edison visits Alliance for a Saturday doubleheader.
Buckeye Local fell to 1-8 as Josh Malesky took the loss. Corey Slaga had two singles.
The Panthers host Weir High for a Saturday twinbill.

Toronto tops Bears
TORONTO - The Toronto baseball team picked up a five-inning, 10-0 win over Oak Glen Wednesday at the Knight Baseball Complex.
Spenser Sninchak had three doubles and three RBIs and Vance Goddard added a double, a single and knocked in three runs as well. Tyler Owens struck out five and walked none while giving up only two hits on the hill for the Red Knights.
Tyler Steed had two singles for Oak Glen.
Toronto hosts Pittsburgh Langley today while Oak Glen hosts Wellsville for a doubleheader Saturday.

Redskins drop a tough one
MINGO JUNCTION - The Indian Creek baseball team rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but ultimately fell short to visiting Martins Ferry 12-11 Wednesday.
Zach Williams had a big day at the plate for the Redskins with two singles, a double and five RBI. Sammy Orr and Zach Crawford each chipped in with two singles and two RBI.
Indian Creek (2-7) hosts Cambridge Saturday for a doubleheader.

Huskies fall to Big Reds
BELLAIRE - The Harrison Central baseball team fell to homestanding Bellaire 8-5 Wendesday.
Drew Horn and Dalton Rutter each had two singles and Nick Pelegreen added a double for the Huskies who dropped to 5-4 on the year.
Harrison Central travels to Shadyside for a doubleheader Saturday.
