WEIRTON - Allan and Elsie Hair of Weirton will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on May 9.
They were united in marriage on May 9, 1947, at the Philip G. Cochran Memorial Methodist Church in Dawson, Pa.
He is an Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Weirton Lumber Co. after 35 years of service. He has been a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters for more than 70 years.

She was a teacher at Hancock County School District's New Cumberland Elementary, retiring after 15 years. She previously taught in Pennsylvania for Peterson Penmanship Systems.
They have three children: Scott, Darla Phillips and Janet Newbrough. There are five grandchildren.
