New school would improve safety

March 3, 2012

To the editor:

My name is Tran Huynh, a sophomore at Indian Creek High School. I think Indian Creek students and teachers will benefit from a new high school, and I am 100 percent sure that you should vote "yes" for the new high school. There are two reasons why I feel this way.

This first reason is the main building does not have enough room for all of the students at the school. The schools have two trailers in front and behind the building. Trailers are not safe for students and teachers when they go outside if it is snowing and raining.

The second reason I think the school should have a new building is that students can get injured from the snow. They can fall when the walkway has ice under the snow. The rain can make your supplies wet, such as a book or a notebook. Students can also get sick when they are wearing the wet clothes.

These are two reasons I think they should build a new high school. Also, I believe that more students will come to Indian Creek High School if there are better facilities and a safer atmosphere. In conclusion, we need a new school for the safety and success of our students. So, please vote "yes."
