From the church that presented "The Choice, Freedom, and HiTops" comes a brand-new-to-the-Valley Christmas musical entitled "A Time for Christmas."
Word of Life Fellowship at 565 Lovers Lane, Steubenville, takes this storyline and expands it into a full-length musical drama that will be presented Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, each night at 7 p.m.
The production is based on the musical book "A Time for Christmas" by Paul McCluster.
A church spokesman said dramatic lighting, sets and special effects enhance the musical and dramatic storyline that follows a self-assured man, Bill, as he begins to connect with the spirit of Christmas through interactions that take place on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
One such interaction involves a chance encounter with a man who severely hurt Bill in his childhood - yet the encounter sparks a healing process in both men that continues throughout the musical.
Two male leads are Harry, played by John Kaminski, and Bill, played by Patrick LeMasters. Jennifer Harris plays the lead female role. Other actors include Kim Beebe, Hannah Good, Patrick Townsend and Jim Danaher.
