Italian beef, Philly cheesesteak and chicken philly sandwiches.

All food items are available for takeout or delivery.

"We'll be using family recipes," Dokes said. "It's going to be home-cooked foods, like you'd make at home for your family, 'burgers and ribs and everything. We're not using freeze-dried or frozen foods. It's going to be fresh-cut fries, fresh burgers, fresh salads, everything. If you're looking for something that's different and tastes good, come to us."

They'll be using old family recipes, too, the kind that have been taste-tested by family and friends over the years. Assisting with food prep work will be Dokes' husband, Demarius.

Interested as they were in having their own business, Williams and Dokes said they weren't thinking seriously of putting thought to action at the moment until the building became available after the former occupant, Scaffidi's, moved to larger quarters. Given the building's prime location along a major thoroughfare and its easy access by foot or car, they figured it was too good a chance to pass up.

"It's a chance to have our own business, make our own (decisions), and be our own (boss)," Williams said.

The shop is named for their children: Dokes and her husband are parents to three daughters, all of them with names beginning with "j," and Williams is the father of three daughters, all with names beginning with the letter "b."

Demarius Dokes and Williams are cousins.

Hours will be Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays from noon to six-p.m. Their phone number is (740) 314-5197.
