RICHMOND - Flora L. VerStraten of Richmond and Edward "Buddy" Merrin announce their engagement.
The bride-to-be is a 1976 graduate of Steubenville High School and is employed at YMCA at St. John Arena and the Eastern Gateway Community College Wellness Center as a fitness instructor. She also is a genealogist.
Her fiance graduated in 1981 from Springfield High School and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Ohio State University in 1986. He is employed at L.T. Associates in Canton, where he is the manager.
