FOLLANSBEE - Follansbee Emrys Watkins American Legion Post 45, with the help of the Follansbee Garibaldi Lodge and West Virginia Department of the American Legion, sponsored three Brooke High School juniors to attend Mountaineer Boys State.
Alec Salakovich, Josh Harrick and Vincenzo Pizzuti participated in the program, which was held June 12-18 at Jackson's Mill 4-H Camp in Weston.
The annual program's goal is to promote leadership skills and various forms of government through hands-on activities.
It was established by the American Legion in the 1930s.
