Knife, gun show in St. Clairsville

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - The fourth-annual National Pike Knife Club-sponsored Knife and Gun Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the J.B. Martin Center at the old Belmont County Fairgrounds.

Dealers will be on hand to buy, sell, trade and display knives, modern and antique firearms as well as crafts and collector's items. Admission is $3, and no one younger than 18 will be admitted without an adult.

Children younger than 12 will be admitted free with adult. A food stand will be available, and 8-foot tables are being rented for $20. For table rental or show information, call (740) 757-2503; (740) 757-2540; or (740) 425-1391.

Wine and art at Stifel Fine Arts Center

WHEELING - Great food and great wine come together at 6:30 p.m. Friday as the Stifel Fine Arts Center presents its annual Art of Wine dinner. Wine aficionado and Oglebay Institute member Walt Smith will lead a tasting of five vintages paired with a five-course meal prepared by one of the valley's top chefs - Mark Glass of the Bethesda Market.

Guests are invited to explore the Young Guns art exhibition currently on display. Selected wines as well as artwork will be available for purchase. The Stifel Fine Arts Center is at 1330 National Road.

'Disney' to debut with orchestra

PITTSBURGH - "Disney in Concert" will debut with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, with performances at 7:30 p.m. today, 8 p.m. Friday, 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Hall.

The performance features music, film clips and artist renderings from Disney movies including "The Hunchback of Notre Dame," "Aladdin," "The Little Mermaid," "The Lion King," "Mary Poppins" and "The Pirates of the Caribbean."

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased by calling (412) 392-4900 or visiting the Heinz Hall or Theater Square box offices.
