BETHANY - Marie E. Zuberbuehler DeParis, a 1983 Bethany College graduate and vice president of marketing and business development for SNY, the television home of the New York Mets, Jets and Big East Conference, will address high school seniors participating in the college's Kalon Leadership program, March 5.
Candidates for the annual scholarship competition are chosen from high school seniors across the nation for their achievement in leadership, superior academic record and an essay on leadership.
During Kalon Weekend, they tour the campus, participate in a variety of leadership seminars and are interviewed by teams of Bethany students and staff members.
DeParis oversees SNY's consumer marketing, including on-air promotion, advertising, affiliate marketing and sales promotion, and has won a New York Emmy and three ProMaxBDA North America Promotion and Marketing Awards for television commercial campaigns and promotional spots.
She previously served as senior vice president of strategic marketing and sales for the New York Daily News and in management positions at Radio City Music Hall Productions and at two New York television stations.
"It is a pleasure to welcome back to campus a distinguished alumna working at the cutting edge of her field," said Bethany College President Scott D. Miller.
"The Kalon Scholarship Weekend is a unique opportunity for highly talented future Bethany students to hear from alumni who continue to build upon the foundation of resources, growth and opportunity they established here as undergraduates."
