WEIRTON - Oglebay Resort Gardens and Amphitheatre in Wheeling was the setting for the July 31 wedding that united Kristen Finley and Micah Sobota in marriage. The 6 p.m. ceremony was celebrated by their friend Ryan Schneider. A marriage blessing was given by the Rev. Dean Borgmeyer.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Bernadette Finley of Weirton. The groom is the son of Michael and Starla Sobota of Colerain.
Amy Taylor served as her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Angela Bell, Nicole Bell, Gina LaMantia, Katie Dahlheim, Mikala Shimmel, Ashley Karas, Michelle Jurecko, Jennifer Johnston and Anna Connolly.
Chad Hutton served as best man. Ushers included David Hartzell, Jon Roeger, Robert Sherburne, Jacob Clemens, Wayne "K" Kuikahi, Brandon Garcia, Grant Ford, Chris Degenkolb and Ryan Schneider. Ava Rose served as the flower girl.
After a reception at the Glesnar Ballroom in Oglebay, the newlyweds honeymooned at Whitehouse Sandals, Jamaica.
The bride is a graduate of Madonna High School and West Virginia University with a doctorate degree in pharmacy and is employed as a professor at Ohio Northern University.
The groom is a graduate of Cadiz High School and Ohio Northern University with a doctorate degree and is employed as a pharmacist at Health Partners of Western Ohio.
They reside in Lima.
