CLARK, Francis Joseph (Frank), 83, of Clover Road, Mechanicstown, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in the hospice inpatient unit at Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Zoar, Ohio, he was a son of the late Thomas and Grace Palmer Clark.
Frank was a retired carpenter and was also retired from the Eljer Company of Salem, Ohio.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Corinth Presbyterian Church in Mechanicstown. In addition, to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, the former Joyce Ann Sutton Clark, whom he married October 23, 1951; two sons, Frank Clark of Mechanicstown, and Mark Clark of Tuscon, Ariz.; four daughters, Sandy (Elton) Roberts of Canton, Ohio; Tammy Louise (Rex) Stewart of Thornville, Ohio; Cindy (Larry) Wood of Carrollton, Ohio; and Amy Sue (Mark) Mayman of Granville, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl Clark of Carrollton; and one sister, Audrey McNinch of Carrollton.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home of Carollton, where services will be Friday, April 23, 2010, at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Rice officiating.
