Janet Calhoun

CALHOUN, Janet, 63, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born March 4, 1946 in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Virgil and Mary Karkoska Stewart. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Frank Allen Calhoun and a brother, Virgil "Guy" Stewart.

She had been a clerk at K-Mart and a member of the Knights of St. Anthony's and a Protestant by faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary "Chrissy" Mills of Steubenville, two sons, John Calhoun of Steubenville and Jay Calhoun of Rayland, two brothers, Charles (Rose) Stewart of Steubenville and Robert (Billie) Stewart of Dayton, two sisters, Donna "Meme" (Tom) Miller of Hawaii and Mildred "Mid" Huggins of Mingo Junction, 10 grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services for Janet will follow visitation at 8 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Tommy Mills officiating.

Following the services, all are invited to a wake at GKL Sportsman, Lower Grounds.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
