Larry E. ‘Shorty’ ‘Flash’ Nonemaker

NONEMAKER, Larry E. "Shorty" "Flash," 59, of Bloomingdale, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

He was born Dec. 19, 1950, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Hubert and Edna (Sellers) Nonemaker.

Shorty was a machine operator at Norfolk-Southern Railroad in Mingo.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

Shorty was a member of the Wintersville Baptist Church and he loved rock-n-roll and playing the drums.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta (Staudacher) Nonemaker, whom he married Oct. 4, 1978; four sons, Mike (Allie) Renforth of Weirton, W.Va., James (Ashley) Renforth of Wintersville, Ohio, William (Beverly) Renforth of Weirton and Ryan Nonemaker of the home; three daughters, Lochane Nonemaker of Mingo Junction, Shana Nonemaker of Bloomingdale and Trisha Burch of Cairo, Egypt; three sisters, Debbie Patterson of Bloomingdale, Cathy (Joe) Berryman of Weirton and Linda (Lee) Wright of Steubenville; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Saturday from 5 p.m. until the time of his funeral services at 6:30 p.m., with Pastor John Striffler, officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Wheeler Funeral Home, to help the family through this difficult time.
