Joyce L. Richard

RICHARD, Joyce L., 66, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of Weirton, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009.

She was born August 8, 1943, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of Nettie Jane Hicks Brooks.

Joyce was an avid supporter of the ASPCA, and was employed as an administrator in the resort industry.

She is survived by two daughters, Lori (Richard) Long of New Cumberland, W.Va., and Tracy Richard of Hampton, Va.; one son, Mark Richard of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Katlin and Ricky Long, Amber Richard and Brandon Richard; great-grand daughter, Rayna Richard; a very close friend of the family, Renee Dacosta; and beloved pet, Mindy.

She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Scott Richard.

Friends received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, 380 Penco Road, Weirton.

Services Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin L. Bowers officiating.

Burial at Fort Steuben Estates.
