M. Pauline Keane Penti

PENTI, M. Pauline Keane, 92, of Worthington, formerly of Steubenville, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, in the Laurels of Worthington. She was born February 3, 1917, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Richard and Ernie Belle Burford Riser.

Pauline was the retired Registrar of Vital Statistics for the City of Steubenville with 32 years of service and a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church.

Pauline is also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert C. Keane; second husband, James P. Penti, brothers, Woodrow and Roy Riser and sisters, Macel Maxwell, Mabel Steitz, Betty Lou Sauer and Marie Graham.

Surviving are one son, Michael Keane of Steubenville; one daughter, Janet (Eldon) Schriner of Austin,Texas; one brother, James Riser of Alexandria, La.; five grandchildren, Andrew, Michael and Matthew Schriner, Kristine Provan and Robert Keane; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are today 5-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Mark Moore, Celebrant. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a Vigil service 7:30 p.m. today.
