Cecil Mosser Sr.November 21, 2009MOSSER, Cecil Sr., 88, of Cadiz, formerly of Smithfield, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009, in the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. Cecil was born January 10, 1921, in Plum Run, Ohio, son of the late George and Annie Littleton Mosser. He was a retired railroad worker, a member of the Yorkville V.F.W. and the American Legion. In addition to his parents Cecil was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Mosser on April 15th, 1999, four sisters, Gladys, Lucille, Milly, Rosella, and one brother Harry. Surviving are four daughters, Faye Friend of Smithfield, Rita Higgs of Rayland, Elizabeth "Lay" Lambert of Smithfield and Shirley Cassels of Dillonvale, two sons, Cecil Mosser Jr. of South Carolina and William "Bill" Mosser Sr. of Rayland; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St., Smithfield; where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Roger Wayne will officiate. Cecil's service and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery. Cecil requested no flowers.
