Marion ‘Connie’ Jackson

JACKSON, Marion "Connie," 68, of Steubenville, Ohio, died Nov. 15, 2009, in Steubenville.

She was born April 4, 1941, in Triadelphia, W.Va., daughter of Albert Jackson Sr. and Tommy Lee Dixon Jackson.

She attended Triadelphia public schools, and retired from the Timet Steel Plant. She was a lifelong member of the Simpson United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Urban Mission and Women's Center of Steubenville.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Edward N. Jackson Sr.; father, Albert Jackson Sr.; daughter, Monica Jackson Williams; and sister, Grace Scott.

She is survived by her mother, Tommy Lee Dixon Jackson of Wheeling, W.Va.; son, Edward (Sharon) Jackson Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Sheila (Darren) Marlow of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kimberly Jackson of Akron, Ohio; one brother, Albert (Nell) Jackson Jr. of Manessa, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara Jones of Indianapolis, Ind., and Connie Jones of Youngstown, Ohio; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in the Vinson House of Mortuary, 711 N.5th St., Steubenville, OH 43952.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Simpson United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lydia Spragin officiating.
