James V. Lamantia

LAMANTIA, James V., 87, of Wintersville, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in Trinity West.

He was born September 18, 1922, in Steubenville, the son of the late James and Josephine Passifume Lamantia.

James was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was retired from the former Ohio Foundry.

James is also preceded in death by his wife, Italia Panetta Lamantia; one grandson; five brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are two sons, James J. (Kathy) Lamantia of Deerfield Beach, Fla. and Robert W. (Michelle) Lamantia of Wintersville; two daughters, Teresa Mitts of Bloomingdale and Mary (Bill) Holsinger of Elk View, W.Va.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy With Mass Friday 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Msgr. Kurt Kemo, celebrant.

Private burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
